I have been working for two years on a major series of projects. I started as a raw beginner and was at first totally confused by all that is available on the Internet. I was like a rabbit in the headlights, not knowing which way to move.

Eventually, a wised up a little and started to emulate the mouse eating an elephant: one bite at a time.

Almost magically, I found that information I needed at any particular instant often jumped out at me...an unexpected teleseminar, for example.

I say open up wide...but give us clear threads so we can follow what is important to us at any one time without getting lost in encyclopedic quantity.

Speaking as a newbee, I think you do need to open this beyond internet marketing. We need to remember that marketing (online and off) is the tool that businesses use to grow. What kind of marketing is used may - or may not - make a difference. Too many of us get confused about what our real business is - our core competency.

While the tools used to market online are very different than those used offline, they must be consistent with the overall philosophies and best practices of marketing if we hope them to be successful.

Hi JP:

IM is merely one cog in the entire marketing picture. In business we need to take advantage of every part of the marketing machine, not merely a piece of it. So open it up and let's look at the whole picture.

However, an important that the conversations be organized into threads.

The more diverse the brains the better - not that internet marketing and offline marketing are diverse. They are simply two distinct mediums, slightly different in nature.

IM is more than IM it has another side too as it is about humans and all that a human stands for. Not to forget feelings, needs, psychology, spirituality. Or in short words all that belong to the life. In the Big Picture all aspect of life must be included.

Warm Regards,

JP,

I say open it up! I am an Internet marketer and I would still love to be able to share and grow with everyone. The more members there are in the Master Mind type of group the stronger the group will be.

Open it up JP!

Hi JP,

It's not a well known fact but a high percentage of the real players in online marketing use OFFLINE marketing to make higher end big ticket sales.

Ultimately there is no online or offline marketing....it's all marketing.

I say bring in the best from every field.

That will create more open thinking and unusual ideas likely to lead to genuine breakthroughs.

Kindest regards,
Andrew Cavanagh

It makes a lot of sense to me to add off-line marketing, and maybe business principles in general, but not necessarily details of business or entrepreneurship.

What I'd hope to avoid is too much information and activity in too many areas, and people getting overwhelmed. In the long run it may be better to make conscious decisions to narrow the focus. Where to draw the boundaries with different levels of experience in play is the question.

All the best,

Richard Dean Delker

P.S. I'm not opposed to the more comprehensive approach if the paths for navigating through the information are well defined and reasonably easy to use.

Con: IM is sooooooo over rated. Its the lazy marketers' lottery..."set it and forget it".

IM is just ONE tiny piece of the marketing puzzle. The reality is: off line and face to face marketing are the real tools that grow your business.

It is the differnce between "lose weight while watching tv" and running 3 miles a day! One works!

Hi JP,

I think it should be opened up i.e. to include non-
internet marketers as this would increase the wealth
of knowledge that would be shared.

Thanks

Hy JP,
IM or I am, the I am needs to be developed beyond ego boundaries and therefore beyond the mind as it needs to be. Once we are beyond the minds limits, then we become. Following this defining point the mind and its games looses lots of interest to the I am.

Money making becomes something we must carry on to fund our research into our next level of incompetence.

By all means this could be where you may want to be, who can say perhaps you are already there. No one is qualified to say.

I do agree leave it open.

Hi JP
You are right, and I fully agree with you that the test should not be limitted to IM, as at many situations direct marketers still play very important part in convincing and concluding deals with prospects/customers.
