Let’s Write a Book Together!

If you have a book idea burning inside you, and you’d like to FINALLY get it written – FAST – then you’re going to love this.

Here’s the story …

I’m writing (that means completing) a new book — start to finish — in the next 30 days.

(I have a cool system for getting it done fast and efficiently)

So, I figured you and a few other clients, colleagues, and subscribers might want to come along on the journey and write YOUR OWN BOOK while I’m writing mine.

I figure we can “run this race” together.

Cool, eh?

You can follow my step-by-step process which I’m happy to teach you, and you’ll get your own book done at the same time.

It’ll be like our own little “Author Club” … where we cheer each other on and hold each other accountable to “GET’r Done!”

So, here’s what I’m going to do for you:

I’ll teach you my complete, step-by-step approach to writing a book in 30-days or less.

I’ll match you up with an accountability partner – someone in our “Author Club” who will help keep you “committed to yourself” … and you can do the same for them.

(Plus, I’m going to be riding you pretty hard to get your stuff done too!)

I’ll keep you on track and completing your assignments.

Basically, you join us in “The Club” and almost magically, you’ll have your very own book completed in 30 days or less.

Sound fun to you?

It does me!

And, it’ll be really cool for ALL OF US to have our books ready to go at the same.

Here’s what I want you to do next:

If you’re interested in joining our group and writing your book in 30 days or less, I want to know about it.

I have been wanting to write a book about how to buy a computer the correct way and should last for several years. Along the way explain how to read an advertisement, demystify the process, and survive the salesman babble.

This sounds like the opportunity that I need to get it done.

I would love to write a book on Cycling and Fitness/Cycling and weight loss. My name is Jerry Goodwin I was a Certified Personal Trainer with the NAHF before they closed up, I had been with them for 7 years and I cold easily become re-certified with any of several other agencies if that is imporant. I have been an active cyckist since 1997 and have used the biking to raise money for several charities as well as to lose weight and get in shape for the National Guard AFPT. I have developed a “program” of weight loss using the biscysle and cycling as the major modde of exercise, along with some crosstraining, good nutrition. I have also been able to raise money for various charities such as Toys for Tots, CFF and the South Georgia Food Bank. In 2009 I was the evnt director for Carolines Ride which you can get detaols at http://www.carolinesride.com, Currnety I am in the process of setting up the first annual Southwest Georgia Cyclefest see details at http://www.southwestgeorgiacyclefest.com What I would like to accomplish with this book is to become the “expert” in Cylcing for Weight Loss/Fitness. When people think of cycling for weight loss I want my name to be well known, much like Bill Phillips for body transformation or similar experts.

Hi, there! I have had over 40 years experience as a trainer and/or sales rep in Fortune 500 companies in both inside and outside sales. I have conducted (and sometimes suffered through-depending on how the interviewees act, speak, and dress) more interviews than you can imagine! I have trained and interviewed for the pharmaceutical industry as well as for outside sales organizations where the product or service is totally commission-based. I would love to compile my notes into a book that would actually help people GET the position they are applying for! I have so far twenty-three chapter titles delineated and am working on the book title. Sometimes THAT is the hardest part because it is the TITLE that sells the book! You see, if you don’t like the TITLE, you may look at the book cover, but you won’t even OPEN IT! My purpose in writing this is to get as many people (especially in light of the job market nationally) as possible off of the job market and into the work force! Also, I would dearly love to make both me and you more money than you can imagine! (I know, like Han Solo, you can probably IMAGINE quite a bit!) Trust me, I have forgotten more about training and interviewing than practically any other person can learn! (Hey, this is not the moment for modesty. You are not going to give everyone this opportunity, so there!). Yes, I would like to know more about the Author’s organization and this potential venture, such as fees, scheduling, what WE have to do in 30 days, etc. So PLEASE email me at your earliest convenience! Give me a shot- this wasn’t your typical, dull email response! Thanks, Ron Bianconi

My idea is for a marketing book for local businesses. How to get to a critical mass and then how maintain it and then how to continue to grow it. I have been publishing a community paper in my town since 2003. The past 2 years have seemed to be tough on local businesses – my advertisers. I have been helping, teaching, mentoring them on marketing and ad design to help them.
2 years in my mind – 30 days to reality. This sounds like a great plan to me.

    1. ”Book Title” – is a creativity book – with a couple of twists.
(Think the Book Title is to good to give away for free ?)

An open, personal and ruthlessly honest book that will shed light on the creative process, the thirst for enlightment, the strive for coherence, the search of the higher concept, the fight against perfection and procrastination.

It will reveal the rollercoaster ride of conflicting insights and emotions related to creativity; everything from the rock bottom moments into the high peaks of exaltation. The reader will also be able to understand how ADD and specially Bipolar Disorder can make it troublesome to be a highly creative individual. Solutions provided.

Multi talented creatives have their own challenges. Their cognitive processes are unlimited and they must learn how to put restrictions on themselves so they can gain direction in personal life and entrepreneurship. We have not seen this in any book about creativity, and I think this will be a real eye opener to a quite a few.

The book will drop some information about the ”High Concept” we will be launching in Scandinavia in 2009/2010. This is mindblowing, at least by our modest standards.

A portion of the book is put aside for second opinions from other ”Book Title” entrepreneurs; how they have learned to understand their creative brains and live with them in a productive synergy.

    And much more …

    2. My ”Book Title Expression”. I know fairly well how ”destructive” such a monster can behave without proper control, and I have learned what can be accomplished with direction. Control is neccessary for ”Book Title” to serve as efficient and profitable tools in the hands of master builders.

Have analyzed numerous business building concepts in depth in the last 5 years, and the ”High Concept” I came up with is a synthesis of them all. This process revealed a few things of importance when comes to business building and leverage – and the key factor to have massive business success these days.

    3. My purpose is to help people that are too creative for their own good. They can master their brains and then prosper by giving their creative gene a sense of direction. ”Book Title” will also remove a couple of misconceptions about creativity, and also enforce the readers to fight the dark side, the negatives, in themselves.

I want to demonstrate for our readers how they – with the right concept – might plan, implement, profit and retire, all in one year. I am actually planning this myself.

Most creativity books do not dig into the difficult aspects of creativity. I think many unfulfilled entrepreneurs suffer and need enlightment to regain their hopes and renew their life direction and purpose.

This is, at least in my view, a more practical approach to taming ”the beast”. A wild bull have potential to create all sorts of disasters, but the raw and brutal power of a tamed bull may contribute to many a blessing for mankind.

    All the best
    Don

WOW Everyone … I’ve been watching the comments come across. Just getting a chance to comment back, so I’m going to address each of you here — where relevant.

@ Tina … it is going to be fun. And fulfilling — because at last a bunch of people who’ve been “wanting” to write a book, and been “thinking” of writing a book — will FINALLY get it DONE!

@ Cool, Henry … hope to have you come along on the journey.

@ William … big, broad audience .. will be neat to figure out how to focus this book and make it unique against other offers in the marketplace — it can be done!!!

@ Paul … a) Cool topic. Brian Keith Voiles recently commented in an email to me that musicians are a RABID market. Guys like us will buy almost anything related. And, you’d be solving a huge problem shared by so many indies. b) Depending on where you are in the process, the club would help. I’ll send you a direct email, and perhaps we can chat by phone for a couple of minutes.

@ Jerry — interesting coincidence … I’m looking at buying a fitness center right now — should know if the deal is a go within a week or so. Sounds like you have the background and cred to pull this one off. Looking forward to having you in our group.

    @ Tom … GREAT!

@ Jacquelyn (one of my new “star proteges”) … looking forward to seeing you put your stuff into writing. (Folks, Jacquelyn has “the goods!” Cool stuff.)

@ Brett — is it to help them build their landscape biz, or more on the technical side of things? Anxious to know… and Yes — that’ll be part of the group. I’ll have some GREAT ideas for selling lots of books, and using the books as an entry point to a large product/service marketing funnel.

@ Ron — You win the prize (so far) for detailed and motivated response. :-) Don’t you guys think so? Hah hah … Seriously, sounds like you have your head screwed on straight and your topic dead to rights. So, I’m anxious to see ya get involved with us. I’ll answer ALL your question in a video I’m creating that tells how the club is going to work and what’s included. Oh, and that money part too!!! ;-)

@ Nicholas — “Getting it from mind to document” is what we’ll be doing. I’ll show you some KILLER mindmapping and outlining techniques that make the content POUR from your brain and onto the page. The cool thing about this process is that it goes SO FAST. You can literally write the book in a few short hours. Believe me … I’ll show you how.

@ Ann — good to speak to you today on our Private Strategy Session. Glad to have you on board here too. We both know you have THE KNOWLEDGE to put into a book, and monetize it.

@ GoGo? C’mon… give us a name ;) — or just trying to keep us curious. Be sure that I’ll share all the “terms” with you. Will put it into that video I’m working on.

(Hope to have the video ready by later today or Saturday US time at the latest.)

    @ Mark — Great!

@ Merv — a) Agree that all of us could “clean up our acts” in email and online communication. HOWEVER, … b) That has very little to do with creating a GREAT, plus useful and profitable, book. Trust me … it’s just NOT the key. I’ll prove it soon. (By the way, I went ahead and approved your comment because I’m not into “censoring” things too much here — but honestly, you could be a little more supportive and positive to those above who’ve shared their passions, hopes and dreams.)

@ Dickly — agree … FOCUS via time on task will be the key. In fact, that’s one of the keys to this authoring club … TIME ON TASK to actually get the book DONE! You’ll like it.

@ Snugla — Info and terms coming in the video.

@ Dean — interesting. You and my wife Tonya would get along … she’s BIG into cooking (which is why I need Jerry’s fitness book mentioned above ;-) ) Will get to the costs shortly in the video.

@ Deb — What a HOT topic for today’s CRAZY world. Kids getting beaten, burned and brutalized EVERY DAY in our schools and playgrounds. Looking forward to seeing you put this one into print.

@ Terry — The book sounds PERFECT. Grab a time on my private strategy session calendar, and let’s discuss some other ways you should use your list, and community cred to grow your income beyond advertising. Note: I came out of the magazine and local paper publishing biz … sold my mags back in ‘99, but obviously am still in book publishing. I’ll have some VERY relevant ideas for you on our Private Strategy Session.

I have a book called SHE-Q. It’s about the unique intelligence that women possess. First there was IQ, then EQ (Emotional Intelligence) now SHE-Q.
Everyone is sick of feminism and fighting. Since the 90’s it has been considered politically correct to assume that everything is equal now and proceed as such.
The truth is that it still is not equal and will not be until we value the feminine qualities as equally as the masculine, ie, until we value feeling as much as thinking, connectedness as much as separateness.
I am well qualified to write this book given my life experience of mentoring my husband, a Ph.D in Philosophy and my own Ph.D in Transpersonal Psychology and Womens’ Studies.
I am well aware that women in relationships are still frustrated and what the males in their lives to chaneg.
    This book is for them.
It is hopeful, spiritual and life-changing.

    Hi JP,

great idea, sysergy works… so here are the answers i came up with.

    1. Your book idea – what it’s all about.

The 7 Secret Steps To Great Relationship Communication (what a much better title – open to any ideas)

    2. What knowledge, experience, or expertise you have that gives you the right to write that book?

I have been teaching relationship communication for greats – based on nonviolent communication. Taught couples, high school students, university professors, therapists… even prison inmates.

    3. What you want to accomplish with your book?

Create a hard cover book – combining my 2 ebooks (first 2 phases of my communication system) and completing the last phase.

    4. Any other questions you might have about our “Author Club” … how it’s going to work, etc.

    When do we get started?

My book is about the “Magic Methods” available to transform an old manufacturing business into a vital, growing, outwardly focused, market sensing operation.
Manufacturing is the only way to “create” value for society except farming or mining/logging. We need much more value to be created in our American society to thrive. Our methods work.

I’d like to write a book for land owners, farmers, developers, and natural resource based businesses on how the most sustainable and ecologically sound use of their land doesn’t have to be at odds with the most profitable use – they can have their cake and eat it too, so to speak.
I know my stuff because of over 20 years of getting “down and dirty” in landscaping, agriculture, nature conservation, and green building, combined with simultaneous observation and self-directed study in philosophy of science, biophysics, ecological engineering, agronomy, depth psychology, cultural history, etc.
My purpose for the book would be to use it as a front end for attracting consulting gigs.

    JP,

    1. How to optimize yourself

    2. Clever question – I’m an American, so my “right to write” is unalienable. But also, I’ve been actively and passionately studying this stuff my whole life.

    3. Help people to really enjoy their lives by living in an optimized body.

    4. Questions/comments: The book I intend to write will require factual data, references and a lot of research to write. Since I haven’t already compiled all that stuff, I don’t see how I could do it – qualitatively – in that short period of time, let alone write the actual book.

I had planned on doing a massive brain dump with this book, because there is simply so much ignorance and misinformation about real health out there. In other words, getting a product out there is very important to me. But I won’t produce any halfway done product. A first draft, sure. But top quality and value must be the hallmarks.

How many hours per day will you suggest/require we spend in this endeavor? I’m not the fastest typist, but do have Dragon Naturally Speaking software. Is narrating into a tape recorder or voice recognition software like Dragon going to be part of the “speed-writing” strategy?

No matter what, if this merely helps me to get the first chapter or two written, that should be the necessary momentum I’ll need to get the rest into type and then into finished book format.

The writing or accountability partner sounds great, too!

Looking forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve,

    Russ

I have started writing a book from the viewpoint of a child adopted into an alcoholic family with two biological children as well. I’ve thought of calling it something like “From Heaven to Hell and Back Again” or “My Life is Just Like Yours, Except…”. I’ve written the first 6 chapters.
With the proceeds I’d like to start a foundation to help research alcoholism, “diagnose” it earlier, and viable treatment methods. This foundation would also be geared to promote education about addictive personalities and social drinking vs alcholism.
